Rice Development Corp. has its roots in a family business dating back to the end of World War II. That family business built and developed homes, high rise and industrial facilities for more than 50 years.The Principals of Rice Development Corp. presently are developing or are involved in Canada's most well known Adult Lifestyle Communities; Sandycove Acres, Wilmot Creek, and Grand Cove. These communities have provided housing and a unique way of life to thousands of retirement age couples and singles over the last 35 years. The Principals are also involved in the advertising and management of a seniors' assisted living facility that they have been the owners of for 20 years.

Rice Development Corp. is presently developing land intended to accommodate more of these Assisted Living Facilities. The company also owns, and manages over 600 apartment units throughout Southern Ontario

In addition, Rice Development Corp. manages commercial and industrial properties which the Principals have an interest in, in the Brampton and Innisfil, Ontario areas.

We take development projects from the very initial stages of the planning process right through design, approval, construction and management. We are hands on in approach, with the fourth generation of the Rice family now actively involved in the business.

Wilmot Creek - Phase 8

Wilmot Creek, is an Adult Lifestyle Community located in the Municipality of Clarington near Bowmanville, Ontario. This community is situated on 2 km of Lake Ontario Shoreline.Rice Development Corp. is presently planning for the development and construction of this Capreit Community. Phase 8 the final phase, is designed to include a wide variety of residential home styles as well as new recreational facilites for the homeowners, a commercial "store" component and an Assisted Living Facility. www.wilmotcreek.ca

Grand Cove - Phase 5

Located in Grand Bend, Ontario, this Capreit Community is home to over 700 seniors. Rice Development Corp. is presently planning for the final phase of Grand Cove which should include approximately 40 more homes. www.anewbeginning.ca
